Duties of the PDC Board of Directors
o To transact the business of the Convention when it is not in session
o To promote the program of the Convention
o To have power to establish such committees or commission needed to further the work of Convention.

Moderator

Moderator Duties & Responsibilities
1. The Moderator shall serve as member of the Executive Committee.

2. The Moderator shall serve as Ex-officio Member of all Committees without vote.

3. The Moderator shall have the authority to appoint a parliamentarian (who is well-versed in and can interpret the Constitution) to serve during the Moderator’s term of office.

4. The Moderator shall call a Planning Meeting to plan the Convention program and calendar of events to be presented to the District Board.

5. Empowered to call meetings as needed in accordance to the constitution, Article VI, section 3.

6. The Moderator and Secretary should assume full responsibility for the Board and Convention minutes and shall compile, copy and mail minutes and related materials to church congregations sixty (60) days after the Board meeting and Convention.

7. In conjunction with the Vice-Moderator, appoint any needed committees and submit to Board for approval.

8. Support the activities of the Piedmont District.

9. Must be a registered delegate during the annual Convention.



Vice Moderator

Vice Moderator Duties & Responsibilities
1. The Vice-Moderator shall serve as member of the Executive Committee.

2. In the absence of the Moderator, the Vice-Moderator shall perform the duties of the office.

3. Empowered to call meetings as needed in accordance to the constitution, Article VI, section 3.

4. The Vice-Moderator shall assume other duties that the Moderator of the Board may delegate.

5. In conjunction with the Moderator, appoint any needed committees and submit to Board for approval.

6. The Vice-Moderator is automatically a member of the Virginia Regional Board and shall attend those meetings in March and November of each year.

7. Support the activities of the Piedmont District.

8. Must be a registered delegate during the annual Convention.



Moderator - Elect

Moderator - Elect Duties & Responsibilities

1. The Moderator-elect shall serve as an Ex-officio member of all committee without vote.

2. The Moderator-Elect shall attend Board Meetings.

3. The Moderator- Elect shall be a member of the Executive Committee.

4. The Moderator-Elect shall chair the Long Range Planning Committee.

5. Support the activities of the Piedmont District.

6. Must be a registered delegate during the annual Convention.



Secretary

Secretary Duties & Responsibilities
1. The Secretary shall record minutes of the preceding of all regular and special meeting of the Board and Convention.

2. Maintain a record of attendance of each official Board member

3. Report to the Official Board all members delinquent in their attendance without satisfactory explanation and subject to suspension and officially notify such members.

4. To keep a copy of the constitution and by-laws in their presence and have it available at all meeting of the Board.
5. Record letters and report them to the Board.

6. Prepare an agenda in duplicate to be checked as various items of business are deposed or tabled during the meeting.

7. Empowered to call meetings as needed in accordance to the constitution, Article VI, section 3.

8. Automatic member of the Registration and Statistical Committee.

9. To take care of all correspondence of the Board.

10. The Secretary and Moderator shall assume full responsibility for the Board and Convention minutes and shall compile, copy and mail minutes and related materials to church congregations sixty (60) days after the Board meeting and Convention.

11. To notify Board members of Board meetings.

12. Assist the Administrative Assistant as needed.

13. Support the activities of the Piedmont District.

14. Must be a registered delegate during the annual Convention.


Assistant Secretary

Assistant Secretary Duties & Responsibilities
1. In the absence of the secretary, perform all duties of the secretary.

2. Automatic member of the Registration and Statistical Committee.

3. Support the activities of the Piedmont District.

4. Must be a registered delegate during the annual Convention.


Treasurer

Treasurer Duties & Responsibilities
1. The treasurer shall receive and deposit all income (money) of the Convention.

2. Pay all account of the Convention as authorized by the Budget or special action authorized by the Convention Board when items are not in the budget.

3. To provide accurate records of all expenditures.

4. To provide written reports to the Convention and Board.

5. The treasurer is to provide a biannual audit of both income and expenditures, through the medium of checks or vouchers signed by two (2) authorized officers.

6. Maintain proper and sufficient records of receipts and credit them to the account of members or Fellowships from which received.

7. The treasurer shall be a member of the Finance Committee.

8. Support the activities of the Piedmont District.

9. Must be a registered delegate during the annual Convention.



Financial Secretary

Financial Secretary Duties & Responsibilities
1. The financial secretary shall keep accurate records of the resource and amount of income (money).

2. Provide a regular written report of income and deposits to the Board.

3. The financial secretary shall be a member of the finance committee.

4. The financial secretary can receive income (money in the absence of the treasurer).

5. Automatic member of the Registration and Statistical Committee.

6. Support the activities of the Piedmont District.

7. Must be a registered delegate during the annual Convention.

Administrative Assistant Duties & Responsibilities
1. Coordinate all Convention activities.

2. Attend all Board meetings and carry out all Board directives or oversee the completion of Board directives.

3. Ensure all committees will complete the work assignments by keeping a record of the committees charge and the due date of their report to the Board.

4. Responsible for performing any other assigned related duties of the Board and/or the Moderator.

5. Automatic member of the Registration and Statistical Committee.

6. Support the activities of the Piedmont District.

7. Must be a registered delegate during the annual Convention.
